World versus World versus World. Doesn’t it sound strange?

Well, this is something that you haven't encountered for sure in any other game and it is as intriguing as its name. Guild Wars 2 is one of the best MMOs when it comes down to PvP since it emphasizes on skill rather on equipment. This is extremely important in competitive play and also for the average PvE player that just wants to have a good time PvPing a bit and not getting totally stomped by the well geared pros.

The awesome part is that you don't have to wait for a certain level to PvP. You can jump right in it from level 1. Your level will be dynamically adjusted to match a fixed number and you will be given the necessary armor, weapons and skills. After this, the sky is the limit. And this is not all: not only that you get rewards for PvPing, but you will also increase in level. So, theoretically, you can go from level 1 to level 80 only by PvPing.

Besides the competitive PvP, the developers have created the WvWvW system, or World PvP for short. This is where massive battles are taking place, on a separate island between 3 different servers from the game that are battling for boon awards for their server. This system is absolutely extraordinary in terms of amount of fun you can have and without any consequences at all. You won't lose your time of leveling since you get experience here too, also, you can get items to use in PvE.

The battles involve towers, keeps and castles that are besieged for dominance of one of the servers. Also, these instanced massive fights, of over 1.000 players at the same time, stretch over two weeks so this is a full blown war that are going on for the sake of the common players that like to PvE and also for the loot and experience that can be obtained by the warriors that fight the good fight.

Even if you are not a fan of PvP, it's strongly recommended to try World PvP sometime since it is plenty of fun and nothing can go wrong. Of course, you can always go back to Standard PvP or your safe PvE if you don't like it, but I doubt it.
